A gripping tale of military heroism

This is a gripping tale of military herosim detailing the blowing up of a bridge in Vietnam by Captain John Ripley of the US Marines during the waning stages of the Vietnam War. This is the Naval Institute Press edition by John Grider Miller and illustrated by Keith Johnston. Although there were some ambiguous literary constructions and excessive technical jargon, the author did a spendid job in bringing to life this important episode in the war when the North Vietnam Army was prevented from its plans to invade the South.
