A very intense and emotional love story
By Marilyn Shoemaker
If you want intense and weepy, then this wonderful rollercoaster contemporary romance, written by the very talented Sarah Morgan is for you!
It's very evident that when Raul and Faith meet by chance that there are definite sparks flying between them. Raul is drawn to her beauty but when he finds out that she's a vet employed on his Argentine horse ranch he invites her to his private home. One thing leads to another and they begin an affair. However, Raul makes it very clear that he doesn't do marriage but Faith sincerely believes he loves her. When she finds her self expecting she tells him and they marry.
Raul is a very virile, macho and sexy billionaire. He's also an accomplished polo player, horseman and businessman. He's ruthless and stubborn in his beliefs about love and marriage. When Faith learns that he doesn't love her and when she looses her baby, she flees; only to be found and brought back to Argentina.
Their marriage was a very rocky road with many lessons to be learned like trust and love. The Vasquez Baby was a very emotional and entertaining read, one I'll remember for sometime.

Completely illogical
By Thuy-Trinh
Not only was the plot line hard to follow, but the entire book itself was absolutely horrendous to read! Nothing made sense, all I read was non-sense twisted around an emotionally weak woman who's constant crying left me irritated. Furthermore, the constant "I'm leaving you" and "I hate you" comments were beginning to grind on my last nerve! Especially since none of this came to fruit. Why make threats if you're not going to follow through with them? Please take my review into consideration; I'm an avid reader. I read romance books for the sake of pretending this could happen to me in real life. I've read over 150 Harlequin Romances so far, and I'll say this: if you're the type of romance reader who'd prefer to read something substantial, easy to follow, and has a good conflict resolution, then this book is NOT for you. Seriously, a complete and utter waste of time. I actually read through to the end in hopes that it would get better....highly disappointing!

Not Bad, But Not Good Either
By Kindle Customer
Faith, a vet, meets Raul Vasquez when she goes to Argentina to work with his horses and polo ponies. They meet, the chemistry is instantaneous and their relationship begins. However, most (like 99%) of their relationship happens off the page because the very next thing we know is that it's 10 months later, Faith and Raul have gotten married, and Faith has left Raul 2 hours after the wedding because she finds out that he only married her because she'd gotten pregnant and he thinks that she set him up because she never told him she'd miscarried until after the wedding. Alrighty then.
BEWARE - SPOILER ALERT
Faith leaves, flies to London and is promptly run down by a car. She suffers head trauma and she's had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks. I'll get back to that in a minute.
Raul finds Faith, flies her back to Argentina and tells her that baby or no baby, they are married and they will remain married. I guess any Harlequin reader could see this plot coming from a mile away. Because, I guess, the first thing odd about this scenario is that for a man completely adamant about never marrying, the only reason he could possibly have for insisting on them both remaining in the marriage is that he must actually care. Now, when we find out the reason for him being against marriage and children, one has to wonder, why in the world would this billionaire marry without a pre-nup. He's afraid that a woman will use pregnancy to trap him into a marriage and then use the child as leverage to bilk him out of his money (what his mother did to his father), but he never bothers to get Faith to sign a pre-nup? That made no sense.
Toward the end of the book we find out that Faith was mistaken, she had had light spotting and took the spotting to mean that she'd miscarried and never bothered to check it out. I'm sorry, but WTH? An intelligent, supposedly educated woman experiences bleeding during pregnancy and doesn't go see a doctor? Oh, and it gets better.
She's hit by a car, is hospitalized for 2 weeks, and no one in the hospital checks? I'll tell you right now that that's not possible. She was hit by a car so you know she'd have had to have gotten X-rayed and/or CT Scanned, and no medical professional is performing an x-ray without knowing for sure that a female patient under the age of menopause isn't pregnant. It's just CYA standard operating procedure.
Okay, so the book had loopholes you could drive a truck through. It isn't a book that you'll throw away before finishing, because it wasn't boring, and the story moved along at a rapid pace. But if you're looking for a great literary read with a storyline that makes sense, this book is not for you. However, the sex scenes were steamy and the H and h weren't annoying or weak or cruel, so that's something.
