About the Author
Marin Thomas grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson on a Division I basketball scholarship. In 1986 she graduated with a BA in Radio-Television and married her college sweetheart in a five-minute ceremony in Las Vegas. Marin was inducted in May 2005 into the Janesville Sports Hall of Fame for her basketball accomplishments. Even though she now calls Chicago home, Marin's heart lies in small-town life, which she loves to write about in her books.

Excellent tale of strong characters and the problems caused by hidding too many situations from one another.Add the problem of secrets and we have a story that keeps us reading until the end.

Enjoyable story

I really enjoyed this book and will read the Cowboy and the Angel as well as the book due out in August. Loved the chemistry between the two main characters - and the kids are darling, not obnoxious - but real kids.

NOT WHAT I HOPED FOR.

This book started out okay, just enough to keep me going for the first 100 pages or so. If I hadn't been so far into the book, I would have quit reading it, but I continued on. I had a hard time getting through the last 100 pages or so. I felt that it did too much telling, and not enought showing. I didn't feel a connection to the characters, and didn't appreciate the way the sex and personal issues were played out. Having Matt spill his guts to a two-year-old with Amy listening behind the door was very tacky. I also couldn't get over them having sex where they did, with really no regards to the children being in the house, even if they were supposedly asleep I their room. What mother would take a chance like that?

The cover of the book is what caught my eye in the store. I love anything with a cowboy. I even read the first few pages as I often do, which immediately drew me in. But unfortunately the book just didn't deliver what the cover and first few pages gave you a sense it would.

I did however see a lot of potential for the story line itself. I also felt she had several cute lines.
